6. Actually, unlike the shirt-gate, this one was all right, IMHO. The guy held a ceremonial role. And his views (which he reiterated were not a joke, and he stands by them) are really not compatible with this specific role in this specific university. Now, if he's forced to leave Royal Society or anything stupid like that, then it would be over the top. They are genuinely proud of their equality history at UCL, and don't miss any chance to rub it into Oxford or Cambridge's face; they didn't roll it out especially to hit Tim Hunt with.
