TIL about this:

The HTML Plaintext Element (<plaintext>) renders everything following the start tag as raw text, without interpreting any HTML. There is no closing tag, since everything after it is considered raw text.

Who the fuck thought it's a good idea? Not enough there are HTML elements with all kinds of weird effects and rules, now we've got one that can't even be closed... True, it's deprecated, but still there. 

Here I was thinking HTML can't surprise me anymore.
