Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Data Breach (2014-2015): This was one of the most significant breaches where hackers, reportedly from China, accessed personal information of over 21 million current and former federal employees, including sensitive data like fingerprints, social security numbers, and security clearance details.
U.S. Voter Database Leak (2015-2017): Multiple incidents involved voter data, with one notable breach in Georgia where personal information, including social security numbers, of 6 million voters was accidentally included in a state download file.
Department of Defense (DoD) Travel Records Breach (2018): Information from the Defense Travel System was compromised, affecting travel records of military personnel.
U.S. Postal Service (USPS) API Exposure (2018): An API misconfiguration led to the exposure of millions of records including voter data, which was publicly accessible for several months.
Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Data Leak (2019): Data of travelers passing through the U.S. border was exposed due to a subcontractor's cloud server misconfiguration.
National Public Data Breach (2024): A massive breach where personal records of nearly 3 billion people, including social security numbers, were stolen. This data was later found for sale on the dark web.
U.S. Transportation Department (USDOT) Breach (2023): Personal information of over 237,000 current and former federal government employees was exposed.
USAID Data Breaches (2021, 2023): Incidents involved the exposure of personal data of USAID employees and contractors, including one incident with over 263,000 affected.
U.S. Treasury Department Hack (2024): Chinese hackers were implicated in a breach involving the U.S. Treasury's systems.
Скажем, за OPM или DoD мне лично волноваться нечего, но в остальных, вполне возможно, были мои данные лично. Но если "за державу обидно", то волноваться стоит по каждому пункту. Так что любой, кто сейчас рассказывает, как он резко озабочен тем, что "непроверенные люди" Маска имеют доступ к малой части тех данных, которые слиты в вышеперечисленном списке, и за которые, скорее всего, никто не был наказан (поправьте, если не так, но с источниками), становится перед выбором:
1. обьяснить, как они относятся ко всему вышеперечисленному и почему не били тревогу в каждом из этих случаев, и как то, что делает Маск, создаёт после всего этого какой-либо дополнительный риск
2. выявить себя, как партийного пиздобола, который будет использовать любую тему для маскировки своих истинных целей - позволить пилёжке в пользу его партии продолжаться невозбранно. Для многих это не проблема, т.к. они давно в этом списке, но он постоянно пополняется.
