There has been a lot of discussion online and in the mainstream media
about our response to various critics of the President, specifically
former Vice President Cheney, who have been coming out of the woodwork
since the incident on Christmas Day. I think we all agree that there
should be honest debate about these issues, but it is telling that Vice
President Cheney and others seem to be more focused on criticizing the
Administration than condemning the attackers. Unfortunately too many
are engaged in the typical Washington game of pointing fingers and
making political hay, instead of working together to find solutions to
make our country safer.
Прекрасен весь - от возмущения тем, что в такое тяжелое время кто-то решается критиковать администрацию и лично Президента! (уж Обама-то такого себе бы не позволил! и другим бы запретил!) до предположения, что Чейни должен искать вместе с Обамой решения, как сделать страну безопаснее.
Ну дальше там тоже хорошо - Обама приписывает себе успехи в Ираке, и заявляет, что он будет бороться только с людьми, выступающими под торговой маркой "Аль-Каеда", а на террористов ему пофиг. Очевидно, именно название "Аль-Каеда" - а не то, что они террористы - и является проблемой, из-за которой с ними воюют.
Однако заголовок - The Same Old Washington Blame Game - доставляет круче всего.
