Но вот среди наших Navy Seals, Recon Marines, Rangers, Green Berets - такое отношение крайне редко встречается.

Про то, что "тренируйся, тренируйся, и еще раз тренируйся, потому что без подготовки никакое оружие тебе не поможет" - все уши прожужжат, да. Но вот про "нехуй вам за это хвататься без полученной нами, крутыми чуваками, спецподготовки" - буквально считанные единицы за все 30 лет, что я здесь. Да и местная полиция в большинстве мест настроена вполне в пользу граждан.

Занятная разница.

Согласен, хотя IRL я с беретами пересекался, тренируясь, а это self-selection.
Но видел и тех служивых, которые с "нельзя быдлу, которое без моей крутой подготовки."
Если это говорит средний полицейский или солдат, то это особенно смешно, учитывая эту самую их "подготовку".

Ну, кто стрельбой всерьез занимался - тот знает, что имеют в виду люди, говоря 'he shoots like a cop'. Для остальной публики - нет, это не комплимент. :-)

Я пару раз видел полицейских, надувавших щеки. Странным образом, это были не те трое-четверо полицейских, которых я видел в нашем тире регулярно, и которые имели резон свои щеки надувать. :-)

Те, которые приходят тренироваться (на свои, кстати, деньги) всеми конечностями за то, чтобы оружие было у как можно большего числа людей.

А вот те, кто нехотя отстреливает свои 100 патронов в год на ежегодном позорном тесте, надувают щеки, да.
