Пол Аллен (тот из основателей Микрософта, который не Билл Гейтс) подал в суд на... в общем, более-менее, всех (кроме Микрософта, конечно) за нарушение его патентов. Среди патентов, например, такой:

An indication that the item is of current interest is received in real time. The indication is processed. The participant is informed that the item is of current interest.
В общем, почти любое сообщение пользователю о новом контенте/событии/изменении - неочевидная идея, над разработкой которой Аллен, несомненно, трудился долгие годы - покрывается этим патентом.
Кончится ли когда-нибудь это безумие?
