Hours after a massive earthquake rattled Japan, environmental advocates connected the natural disaster to global warming. The president of the European Economic and Social Committee, Staffan Nilsson, issued a statement calling for solidarity in tackling the global warming problem.
“Some islands affected by climate change have been hit,” said Nilsson. “Has not the time come to demonstrate on solidarity — not least solidarity in combating and adapting to climate change and global warming?”
“Mother Nature has again given us a sign that that is what we need to do,” he added.
По-моему, людей, с которыми разговаривает Мать-Природа, не надо приглашать президентами в экономические комитеты. Их надо лечить.

Этой цицаты нет в заявлении, ссылку на которое приводит Daily Caller. Google цицату находит только в блогах. Google Cache заявления показывает, что оно не редактировалось.

Когда я туда заходил, мне кажется, там висел другой текст, но дословно я его не помню, поэтому чёткой уверенности, что цитата 100% такая, у меня нет, хотя я помню впечатление, что действительно в тексте содержались упоминания GW, чего сейчас нет, но сам факт показался мне не настолько значительным, чтобы запоминать текст специально.
К сожалению, я не сохранил эту страницу, а большинство записей цитирует Daily Caller дословно. Однако вот блог, который прямо цитирует источник:

На вордовском документе, присоединённом к пресс-релизу, стоит revision number 2 и creation date на 5 часов больше, чем сейчас у меня, но что это значит, я не знаю, недостаточно осведомлён в деталях ворда.
Пока что я вижу следующие рабочие версии:
1. EESC отредактировали пресс-релиз и выложили новую версию, гугль не следит за всеми версиями, а индексирует последнюю. Т.к. на эту страницу куча ссылок, гугль индексирует её активно и изменение было уже подхвачено и записано в кеш.
2. Кто-то сочинил вторую часть пресс-релиза и подсунул его множеству блоггеров, каким-то образом убедив их, что это настоящий пресс-релиз, причём ни один из них не пошёл о ссылке, дабы убедиться, что содержание именно таково, или же пошёл, но почему-то, в отличие от вас, не обнародовал этот факт.
3. Все эти блоггеры в сговоре, публикуют заведомо ложную цитату и управляются кем-то, кому зачем-то понадобилось приписать мелкую глупость никому доселе неизвестному чиновнику.
Мне кажется, что версия 1 наиболее вероятна.
