The United States and China reported no major breakthroughs Friday after only their second round of talks about human rights since 2002.

Posner said in addition to talks on freedom of religion and expression, labor rights and rule of law, officials also discussed Chinese complaints about problems with U.S. human rights, which have included crime, poverty, homelessness and racial discrimination.
He said U.S. officials did not whitewash the American record and in fact raised on its own a new immigration law in Arizona that requires police to ask about a person's immigration status if there is suspicion the person is in the country illegally.
Офигеть. Т.е. Америка посылает делегацию убедить китайцев уважать права человека. И чем занимается эта делегация? Наездами на внутреннюю политику США и перечислением американских недостатков. И удивительная штука - никакого прогресса не добивается. Хотя казалось бы - умная дипломатия, не то, что при идиоте Буше. Америка честно признаёт, что у всех есть свои проблемы с правами человека - в Китае диссидентов в тюрьмах морят, в Америке от полицейских требуют, чтобы они спрашивали документы у подозреваемых в преступлении... Страшное дело.

Есть совершенно чёткий список прав человека, соотв. международные документы, разьясняющие эти права и их нарушения; и страны - подписанты этих документов и соглашений. агитация и пропаганда, хоть Китая хоть КОреи, хоть обамовских подпевал к делу отношения не имеет.
