Любопытное исследование - инфляция имеет разный размер для разных уровней доходов:
non-durable inflation for the 10th percentile of the income distribution has only been 4.3 percent between 1994 and 2005 (0.4 percent per annum), while the non-durable inflation for the 90th percentile has been 11.9 percent (1.0 percent annually), and 13.4 percent (1.2 percent annually) for the richest 5 percent of households in the sample.
Интересная идея. Хотя, собственно, та же идея заложена в hedonic adjustment, только наоборот.
