Conservative groups ripped into Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, accusing him of earmarking $2 billion for a famously troubled lock-and-dam project that would benefit his home state as part of the bill to reopen the government and avert a debt default.
McConnell’s office said he had no role in securing the language, which was authored by Sens. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) and Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.).

However, provisions in both the House and Senate version of the Water Resources Development Act change that funding formula, meaning taxpayers could end up stuck with a much bigger portion of the cost.

помню, беседовала во времена 2х выборов Буша с нашим принципалом - бешеный революцьонер, "всех перебить, всё отобрать", я ему - но ты же вот строишь тюремные заведения пол своей сознательной жизни, т.е. во всё это время пенитенциарная политика построена на либеральных принципах, и где ж результат? почему 80% сидящих в тюрьме - чёрные, несмотря на усиливающиеся от декады к декаде наказания расистских инцидентов? почему тюрем всё больше не хватает? где ты видишь конец этого процесса?

С другой стороны, если политик желает лезть в бизнес граждан и переустраивать жизнь - то ум это недостаток, т.к. он больше сумеет наломать дров. Жизнь ведь сложнее любого человеческого ума, так что любой умник желающий переустраивать общество подобен обезьяне на штурвалом самолета.

Twenty-three percent are college graduates, and an additional 14% have postgraduate training, versus 15% and 10%, respectively, for the overall population. Conversely, only 29% of tea-party supporters have just a high-school education or less, versus 47% for all adults.
т.е. далеко не все американцы с высшим образованием левые. Врядли же именно IT professionals такие левые в сравнении с имеющими высшее образование.
