В 18 лет уехала учиться архитектуре в Сорбонну, там вышла замуж за американца и уехала в DC - и в это время вся её родня оказалась запертой в Иране. Рассказывала, что приехала со своими дочерьми только на похороны матери, через 30 лет. И что привезла с собой туда альбом семейных фотографий.
Племянницы сидели с ней и дочерьми, листали альбом и были в ужасе, когда увидели её на фото в бикини, на общественном пляже на Франц. Ривьере.
